SANE Coordinator & Board Member
Liz hopes to shine light on underrepresented topics, giving them the awareness and recognition they deserve.
Liz Ortiz is a Liaison for the Student Action Network for Equity (SANE) and a member of the board. She joined the team in junior year and quickly got involved with various aspects of the team such as educational research and journalism in The New Edu. Within KSVT, she hopes to shine light on underrepresented topics, giving them the awareness and recognition they deserve.
Outside KSVT, Liz volunteers at her local hospital and assist healthcare professionals in daily tasks, providing comfort to the vulnerable. She also provide free translating services to fellow Hispanic/Latinos in the community to help them thrive and be heard.
In her free time, Liz enjoys hanging out with family or staying inside and incorporating self care days. Nothing feels better than uplifting yourself spiritually and physically.
