Bio

Anna Sugg is a press correspondent and editor for KSVT’s, The New Edu. There she advocates for just educational environments through journalism. Some of the articles she has written for KSVT have also been published in the Courier Journal; one discussed the importance of inclusion, empathy, and safety for LGBTQ+ students in KY’s Catholic schools. This article then enacted structural changes within some high schools in the Archdiocese of Louisville.

Outside of KSVT, Anna is a senior at Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville where she is the editor-in-chief of the student newspaper, a member of the Diversity Leadership Team and Knitting Club. In addition, she is heavily involved in social advocacy within Louisville as a member of the Louisville Youth Philanthropy Council and Muhammad Ali Center Council of Students.

In her free time, Anna loves to read, bake, and listen to her many vinyl records. As a member of KSVT, Anna hopes to establish just educational environments for Kentucky students and prove to them that their ideas, voices, and experiences are valued too.
